Our Mission
  • Troop 260 is devoted to teaching preparedness, leadership, and aiding in character development in its Scouts through a very active outdoor program consisting of backpacking, canoeing, service projects, and fund raising coupled with active parent involvement, strong leadership development and leadership retention.

  • Troop 260 observes A Scout is Reverent Week every year by attending three separate and unique religious services.
  • Troop 260 holds a 50-Miler every year as a key element of our outdoor program. Typically, the Troop program alternates every other year between hiking and canoeing 50-Milers. Hiking 50s have been held in a variety of areas including the South Warner Mountains of northeastern California, the Yolla Bolly Mountains of northern California, Santa Cruz Mountains of central California and the Sierra-Nevada Mountains of central and southern California. Canoeing 50s have been conducted in such venues as Lake Shasta and the Sacramento River of northern California, the Willamette River of central Oregon, the Upper Missouri River in Montana, the Green River in eastern Utah and the boundary Waters Canoe Area of northern Minnesota.

Where & When We Meet
Troop & Crew 260 meets every Monday at 7pm. The last Monday of the month is the night the junior staff meet for planning and schedule reviews. At 7:30 pm the Troop committee, senior staff and parents meet for conducting Troop business and planning. Visitors are welcome at any of the meetings.
