- Troop 260 holds a 50-Miler
every year as a key element of our outdoor program. Typically,
the Troop program alternates every other year between hiking and
canoeing 50-Milers. Hiking 50s have been held in a variety of
areas including the South Warner Mountains of northeastern
California, the Yolla Bolly Mountains of northern California,
Santa Cruz Mountains of central California and the Sierra-Nevada
Mountains of central and southern California. Canoeing 50s have
been conducted in such venues as Lake Shasta and the Sacramento
River of northern California, the Willamette River of central
Oregon, the Upper Missouri River in Montana, the Green River in
eastern Utah and the boundary Waters Canoe Area of northern
Minnesota.

volunteering as both paid and unpaid staff for council and
national camps and events.
