- Troop 260 is more than 60 years in continuous existence.
- Troop 260 devotes over 90% of its Scouting time to outdoor activities.
- Troop 260 far exceeds the national average for advancement with over 80 Eagle Scouts since 1969.
- Troop 260 holds a 50-Miler every year as a key element of our outdoor program. Typically, the Troop program alternates every other year between hiking and canoeing 50-Milers. Hiking 50s have been held in a variety of areas including the South Warner Mountains of northeastern California, the Yolla Bolly Mountains of northern California, Santa Cruz Mountains of central California and the Sierra-Nevada Mountains of central and southern California. Canoeing 50s have been conducted in such venues as Lake Shasta and the Sacramento River of northern California, the Willamette River of central Oregon, the Upper Missouri River in Montana, the Green River in eastern Utah and the boundary Waters Canoe Area of northern Minnesota.
- Troop 260 observes “A Scout is Reverent Week” every year by attending three separate and unique religious services.
- Troop 260 maintains the most active outdoor schedule in the Quicksilver district and was the only Troop in the Council awarded a National Camping Ribbon.
